Burntside
Lodge is the oldest guest lodge remaining in the Ely, MN area.
Nestled among pines on the southern shore of Burntside Lake,
Burntside Lodge maintains the grandeur and charm which has
attracted guests since the tradition of The Lodge began in 1913.
Early information shares stories of guests enjoying hospitable lodging in accommodations at what would become Burntside Lodge as early as 1911...over ninety-four years ago. Guests traveled by car and by train to enjoy the beauty of Burntside Lake. The Lodge has opened each summer since, without exception.
Our season begins in mid-late May each year and concludes in late September.
We are a summer resort offering our guests clean, comfortable accommodations
and hospitality that cannot be beat. We have a full service restaurant,
a cappuccino bar with fresh baked pastries available daily, marina
facilities for all of your boating needs, 2 sand swim beaches,
a Finnish sauna just a skip away from the lake, and many more
amenities for our guests.
We also have the good fortune to be located along the shores
of beautiful Burntside Lake, a 12-mile long,
spring-fed lake containing over 10,000 acres of water and over 125 islands.
Its crystal clear waters have kept visitors coming back again and again for years.
