Spring Peepers

We never tire of hearing the spring peepers and wow, were they ever in chorus on Thursday evening. On our night time drive back to Burntside they were so loud you could hear them through the car windows, especially near Armstrong Lake.
Seems I always go on and on about this time of year (who cannot get delirious over spring); the recent abundant moisture has everything greening up almost as you watch. Returning to the north country from a quick trip to Minneapolis one gets to watch spring unfurl a second time. Magically the tips of tree branch tinge with chartreuse green and color the previously stark woods into a watercolor by Monet.
If you driving north (and we hope you will be soon); open the windows: slow down, listen and enjoy the view.
